Upgrading your Craft version on the Hyperlane platform is a straightforward process. Follow the steps below to ensure a smooth transition to your new Craft environment.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Create a New Project in Hyperlane

  1. Log in to Hyperlane:

    • Access your Hyperlane account using your credentials.

  2. Select Your Project Type:

    • Navigate to the project creation section.
    • Choose the desired Craft version for your new project.
    • Alternatively, you can select WordPress if that suits your needs.

  3. Container Setup:

    • Hyperlane will automatically set up a new Ubuntu 20.04 container.
    • The container will include the necessary PHP version compatible with the selected Craft version.

2. Configure Your New Project

  1. Transfer Your Files:

    • Access your old Git repository.
    • Copy all relevant files and transfer them to the new Git repository provided by Hyperlane.

  2. Database Migration:

    • Export your database from the old Craft environment.
    • Import the database into your new development environment on Hyperlane.

  3. Select Your Subscription:

    • Choose the subscription plan that fits your requirements for the new project.

3. Finalize the Upgrade

  1. Cancel Previous Subscription:
    • Once your new project is configured and running smoothly, contact Hyperlane support.
    • Request the cancellation of the subscription for your previous Craft version to avoid double billing.
